Report: Tottenham want Lautaro Martinez again; Arsenal very interested

Lautaro Martinez is keen to move to the Premier League with Arsenal very interested and Tottenham also looking at the forward, according to a report from Planet Sport.

Martinez looks set to be linked with a move to England for a second summer running. Of course, last year, Spurs agreed a fee for the Inter Milan striker before a move fell through.

He has stepped up this season following the departure of Romelu Lukaku. The Argentinian has scored 16 goals in all competitions. And he stunned Anfield on Tuesday night, scoring a wonderful goal from the edge of the box in their Champions League tie with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp suggested it was a ‘really brilliant‘ finish.

The Nerazzurri remain on pole position to retain the Scudetto. They sit two points adrift of AC Milan with a game in hand.

Nevertheless, Martinez appears to be interested in leaving this summer. Planet Sport reports that he is keen to move to England at the end of the season.

Arsenal are very interested as look to sign a new striker. Meanwhile, Tottenham and Manchester City are also looking to land Martinez.

Arsenal clearly need Martinez more than Tottenham – unless Harry Kane leaves

Tottenham have largely been scoring for fun in the Premier League recently. They have 12 in their last four. And the front three of Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski could be seriously exciting.

Arsenal have also scored plenty. However, they will need to sign at least one new striker this summer. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set to be out of contract.

Therefore, Arsenal probably need Martinez more. That could change however.

There are fresh doubts over the future of Kane. Should he leave, Tottenham will need to pull something special out of the bag.

Signing Martinez would certainly be that. Reports claim however, that Inter want £75 million before they let him go.
