Report: Conte hasn’t even spoken to ‘sensational’ Tottenham youngster, he may never get a chance at Spurs now

If there has been one Tottenham Hotspur youngster that every fan has had high hopes for over the last few years, it’s Troy Parrott.

The talented striker joined Spurs as a 15-year-old back in 2017 from Irish side Belvedere FC. He has developed brilliantly in the club’s youth setup and has gone out on loan a few times as well.

Parrott, now 20, is viewed by many fans of Tottenham as the future of the club. Some even think he’s the heir to Harry Kane’s throne, but things may just have changed.

If a latest report is to be believed, Antonio Conte barely knows who he is.

Parrott starred for Northern Ireland by scoring an absolute stunner in the 97th minute of the game against Lithuania a few days ago. He has been in the spotlight since and some Spurs fans are looking forward to seeing him back at Hotspur Way after his current loan spell at MK Dons comes to an end.

However, The Athletic reveal today that Conte and Parrot haven’t even spoken since the Italian was appointed as the club’s new manager. The youngster hasn’t even been discussed by the club in meetings about their future plans, which isn’t good news.

Parrott’s current contract expires at the end of next season and Tottenham have an option to extend it by another year.

However, it has been claimed that the expectation around Conte’s first team is that Parrott will not end up in the senior side and it does look like he’ll be moved on at some point.

Parrott is a really exciting young talent, we all know that.

The 20-year-old, since joining MK Dons on loan at the start of this season, has scored six goals and has provided six assists in all competitions. That’s not an outstanding record for a striker, but it’s not bad by any means for someone who’s still only 20.

Described as ‘sensational’ by The Dons’ official Twitter handle last month, Parrot is definitely one to keep an eye on for the future, but unfortunately for Tottenham fans, it looks like he’ll be on his way out soon, just like Dilan Markanday, who was another spectacular youngster that Spurs let go.

That really is a shame!
