REAL MADRID READY TO OFFLOAD ‘EXPENSIVE’ ATTACKING DUO WANTED BY ARSENAL

Real Madrid are reportedly open to offloading attacking duo Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic this summer, two players who are apparently on Arsenal’s radar.

According to AS, Los Blancos are ready to dramatically decrease their wage bill this summer, with the likes of Marcelo, Isco and Gareth Bale all set to leave Madrid at the end of their contracts, with Hazard, Jovic and Mariano Diaz also expected to be sold.

As per the report, Madrid are looking to rid of ‘expensive’ players who provide next-to-no impact on the first-team, something Hazard and Jovic fit perfectly, with the attackers hardly featuring for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season.

And this summer could see the pair end up at Arsenal, with Marca reporting that the Gunners have already held talks with Jovic ahead of this summer, whilst according to Defensa Central, the north London side are preparing to open discussions over Hazard.

With Arsenal looking to strengthen their attacking options next season, Hazard and Jovic could be exceptional additions for the north London club. However, their wages could be a major issue for the Gunners.

Indeed, the pair are on hefty salaries at Madrid, and whilst Arsenal have the finances to match what Hazard and Jovic want, whether or not Mikel Arteta is willing to meet these demands is another question.

This summer will be all about attackers for Arsenal, with the Gunners potentially looking at signing two strikers with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to depart north London, and this is what makes Jovic a smart signing for the Gunners, unlike Hazard.

The Serbian international needs a new club, and Arsenal can provide the striker with a new challenge that could reinvent Jovic’s career. As for Hazard, the winger’s position, age and wages would make him a nonsensical addition for the Gunners, who are moving away from signing players of the Belgian’s profile.
