PSG are said to be interested in signing Paul Pogba on a free transfer with his Manchester United contract coming to an end – but have risked putting him off with a low initial contract offer
PSG are thought to have made an initial contract offer in an attempt to try and sign Paul Pogba on a free this summer – but put forward less money than Manchester United in their bid to keep him.
The France international midfielder has been tipped to find a new challenge following an unsuccessful return to Old Trafford back in 2016 – failing to win another trophy after their Europa League triumph back in May of 2017.
And although PSG were thought to be leading the race despite links with a return to Juventus, their first offer might not be what the 29-year-old had been expecting – or hoping for.

Manchester Evening News report that PSG’s first offer is less than the final package offered to him by United in their attempts to avoid losing him for nothing.
The report adds that Pogba might well prefer a move to Juventus rather than a chance to play his senior football in France, with Real Madrid interest subsiding following the departure of Zinedine Zidane.
Pogba has spoken openly about the decision that faces him in the summer following another underwhelming season – admitting that he has not yet come to a conclusion.
“Nothing is decided on my future, there is nothing done,” Pogba told Telefoot.
“I can decide tomorrow, as I can decide during the transfer window. I want to come back, finish the season well.
“The season is not over yet, but almost because we don’t have any more titles to play for. I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven’t won a title. It’s sad.”
Pogba’s former United team-mate Wayne Rooney gave his thoughts on the situation this week, saying that the midfielder should move on.
He said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football: “It’s got a point now where it’s probably better for him to move on.
