Man City hero Sergio Aguero claims ‘everyone in England is a Man Utd fan’ in bizarre rant

Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has bizarrely ranted about how he felt that the entire population of England are Manchester United fans.

Despite the Argentine forward being adored by a lot of Premier League supporters and the unbelievable ‘Agueroooo’ goal being one of the most iconic moments in the history of the league, the striker wasn’t convinced. In an unexpected outburst on his Twitch stream, Aguero lost his rag.

Whilst watching a clip of his goal against QPR when City clinched their first Premier League title in the 2011/12 campaign, the 33-year-old said: “People, you don’t know what it’s like in England. In England, everybody, all the journalists, all the TV channels, everybody, they’re all Manchester United supporters. Everybody!”

Aguero was forced to retire earlier this season due to health issues, but he wrote himself into the history books in the English top-flight with 184 goals in 275 appearances. The former Atletico Madrid star sits in the fourth spot for the all-time Premier League top scorers, only behind Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Andy Cole.

The striker left City at the end of last season to join Barcelona but was only available to make four appearances for the La Liga outfit. The Catalan giants struggled at the start of the campaign under Ronaldo Koeman, but the arrival of Xavi in the Camp Nou has breathed a new lease of life into the club.

The Spaniard has quickly implemented a quick, passing-based style into the club whilst also signing pacey forwards that are willing to run in behind and stretch defences. Writing for stake.com about his former club, Aguero said: “There’s plenty of young talent with huge potential that is starting to materialise. Pedri, Gavi, Ansu [Fati], Nico Gonzalez.

If you add the seasoned veterans to that, and the reinforcements that have arrived, they can dream big again – so why not aspire to take on the Europa League? It won’t be easy, and the process of this new team has just started so it’ll need time to evolve, but they’ve already got what they need to give a good attempt at it.”
