Liverpool are heavily expected to sign Fabio Carvalho in the near future.
Earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano reported via The Guardian that the Fulham sensation had already joined the Reds in a £5 million deal.
Carvalho was meant to join Liverpool in the January transfer window but a late collapse of the deal put paid to that idea.
However, it does look certain that Jurgen Klopp will be getting his man this summer.
But Carvalho isn’t the only highly-rated teenager heading to Merseyside.
Nope.
That’s because Liverpool have seemingly won the race to sign Ben Doak.
The 16-year-old Celtic product – labelled an ‘exciting talent’ by Jackie McNamara – had been attracting interest from the Reds and Manchester City to name but a few clubs in recent months.
However, the Anfield outfit have edged out their rivals to capture the teenager.
Doak himself posted an Instagram photograph of himself signing for Liverpool and here it is:
With Theo Squires of The Echo also hinting that 18-year-old Calvin Ramsay of Aberdeen was a target, it looks like Liverpool are adding to their reserve of exciting talent.
Remember, Harvey Elliott and Kaide Gordon are already at Kirkby, along with a number of very promising teens like Mateusz Musialowski – the Polish Lionel Messi.
It remains to be seen how good Doak will be in the future, but he’s clearly got a major future, evident by Liverpool’s interest, and time will tell if he and his fellow prodigies can make the grade.
