Antonio Conte wants Tottenham to land Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as he looks to improve is squad, according to reports.
Osimhen has scored 23 goals in 54 appearances for the Serie A side having joined in a €68m (£57m) deal from Lille in the summer of 2020.
He has missed numerous games this campaign due to a cheekbone fracture with Napoli struggling in their matches without Osimhen.
However, he is now back fit and firing for the Naples-based club with the Nigeria international bagging a brace last time out against Hellas Verona six days ago.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United have been heavily linked in recent months with the 23-year-old but now Tottenham are understood to be interested.
Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (via Sport Witness) claims the driving force behind the north London club’s interest in Osimhen is Conte, as the former Inter Milan boss ‘really likes’ the Napoli star.
Conte ‘wants’ Osimhen in his squad for next season with the possibility that Harry Kane could be the subject of interest again after failing to complete a move to Manchester City last summer.
The report tips Napoli to sell Osimhen if they receive an ‘important offer’ from Tottenham or another club as the Italian club ‘could falter’ over the summer.
Meanwhile, Tottenham boss Conte believes Dejan Kulusevski will explode into a top player for the club.
“We are talking about an important prospect,” Conte said. “He is very young, only 21 years old and despite his young age, he has good experience with the national team.
“To play with Juventus for one year and a half, you understand what it means to live with pressure. Probably he could ‘crack’ in the future.
