Arsenal expected injury return dates including Thomas Partey, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney

The Arsenal medical team is working over time to recover some of their injured stars in time for the run in.

Arsenal were lame against Brighton and Arteta knows they will have to vastly improve or forget about bringing Champions League football to the Emirates next season.

One piece of good news is that the Gunners will face out-of-form Southampton, immediately after the Saints were thrashed by Chelsea 6-0

Mikel Arteta’s medical team are working round the clock to get bodies back in time for the final stretch of the season, with key players hoping to return for massive games against Chelsea and Tottenham.

So here are all the expected return dates of Arsenal’s key players who are in the treatment room:

Thomas Partey

The Ghanaian was unfortunate to have picked up a groin injury just at the time he was hitting his peak in performance and fitness.

There have been reports that given the time groin injuries take to heal he might be out for the entire season, with Arteta opting not to give a date on his retur.

But LondonWorld understands that there are hopes that Partey might be able to play some games this season. Arsenal fans will have their fingers crossed.

Potential return: No exact date yet but could recover in three weeks

Takehiro Tomiyasu

The former Bologna man has been incredibly unlucky with injuries, after having wasted little time in taking to the Premier League.

Calf issues have taken the sting out of his game and handed his place in the team to Cedric Soares.

Any return will give Mikel Arteta the bodies he needs to fight back into form and possible Champions League football.

The good news is that he is almost there, and there is a chance he could even be in the team for Southampton.

But if the medical team want to be cautious, Chelsea away or Manchester United at home would be ideal.

Potential return date: Manchester United (H) 23/04/2022
