Anthony Elanga reveals Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘special’ counsel, and the Manchester United star even instructs him how to rejoice

Anthony Elanga, a Manchester United player, describes Cristiano Ronaldo as a “great guy to work with.”

This year has been a watershed moment for Elanga, who is 20 years old.

He has made 24 first-team appearances this season, scoring three goals and assisted on two others.

He has now admitted that Ronaldo assisted him in acclimating to life in the Premier League.

Elanga told the official Manchester United website in an interview: “You can see his scoring record as well as the number of goals he’s scored.

“He knows what it takes to climb to the top, so speaking to someone like him is more than appropriate.

“And, yes, we have a pre-game or even during-game chat. We may be seen in the warm-up.

“He’ll talk to me and Sancho about what we can do in the game to alter the games – and having someone like that on the team is crucial.

“He’s a guy I look up to, talk to, and seek guidance from on a daily basis. Continuing to work with him is a unique experience.”

This season, Ronaldo has been one of United’s best performers.

He has scored 23 goals in 36 outings.

Three times, he has been selected Man United’s player of the month.

Many, though, have accused him of being a “negative influence” on the team.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been linked with a return to Real Madrid in recent weeks.

SunSport reported earlier this year that he may leave Manchester United if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League.

And with the Red Devils in sixth place, it appears doubtful.
